Volunteers recognised for their work with offenders

Volunteer mentors who give their time for free to support offenders have been recognised at a celebratory event at St John’s the Minster in Preston.

Penny Barker, Head of Operations, congratulated the eleven men and women, who each received certificates for their commitment and dedication to the service. The volunteer programme is a partnership project between the CRC, the Blackburn Diocese and Barnardos. It provides support to offenders across Lancashire by helping them to re-connect with the community, find accommodation and access employment.
